Q - Do I have to be a member to shop?

Yes. At The Very Green Grocery, we have a membership system in place so we can better serve our community and monitor community need. Memberships are free to sign up, and once you are a member, you can enjoy shopping with us twice a week!

Q - How do I become a member of the grocery?

Becoming a member is quick and easy! Simply visit our shop during opening hours, and our friendly staff will be delighted to assist you with the registration process.

All we will need from you is your name, address and if you sign up to gift aid, your email address. Then you’re officially a member! Membership is free, and you only pay for your weekly shopping. Only one person per household can sign up and you can shop with us twice a week!

You can pay by cash or card in Winsford and Northwich.

In addition to the above times, we may periodically have extra shop dates depending on the level of food we have received. Watch out on our social media channels to find out when these occur!

Q - How much does it cost?

The cost of your weekly shop at The Very Green Grocery is a £6 donation. Please bring your own bags.  On average you can expect to receive groceries worth anywhere from £25 - £40 depending on what we have in stock and which products you choose.

Q - I've been given a Mid-Cheshire food bank token, can I use it at the grocery?

Absolutely! Just bring it along with you to our shop and we will take care of it for you.

Q - Can I shop at both grocery stores?

Absolutely! Once you are a member of The Very Green Grocery, you’re welcome to shop at either of our shops. Your membership grants you access to both locations but please remember that you can only shop twice a week so that we can make sure there is enough food for everyone.
